Sarah was born in Cape Town, South Africa, in 1979. She was raised for most of her youth in Namibia, with her three younger sisters. Her family moved to the United States in 1997. Sarah studied photography for three years at college.

She now works in nursing and is attending school to attain her Registered Nursing Certification. Sarah currently resides in Lansing, Michigan, with her husband, Jeff, a dog, and two cats. She draws and paints as often as time will allow for.
